About the Event

With so much industry buzz around the topic of AI, there has been little clarity on how to get started in a way that has meaningful business impact.

Just before we all went into lockdown, Broadcast Projects and IET Media held a fascinating event on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for TV metadata, surveying the landscape and issues facing the industry.

One conclusion was that ML (the area of AI that is being used in practice) is not a "silver bullet", but, it does allow "the aggregation of marginal gains" (to quote the former Sky cycling team) if deployed as a series of point solutions to improve workflow. By taking repetitive work away from human operators, AI/ML can increase efficiency and allow those workers to be deployed in more creative ways.

This webinar recorded on 2nd June 2020 presents a conversation with audiovisual content analysis experts and machine learning practitioners to explore specific areas that can help content suppliers, aggregators and platforms get started with AI & ML to make incremental improvements to the bottom line.
